They were not kidding when they said breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your day off right and everything else will fall into place! Of course before we even think about food we might want to consider thinking of all that we are grateful for! Then move to hydrating our bodies with the best water we have access to. Once that is done we can move onto breakfast! Yummy! My breakfast typically consists of making some sort of delicious, nutrient packed smoothie overflowing with super greens and super foods!
I tend to rotate between “Green” smoothies and “Superfood” smoothies. My superfood smoothie is one of my staples. It’s packed with well-balanced nutrients, antioxidants, energy and is perfect for pre and/or post workouts. I normally have this first if I need a boost of energy or have a lot on my plate that day. But it’s a lot of nutrition so if I’m doing yoga early in the morning or have a super hard workout I wait and have most of it after my workout as a recovery shake!
- I like to mix any and all of the following in my Superfood Smoothies: Fresh thai coconut water and coconut meat; homemade hemp milk, almond milk or pumpkin milk; revitaphi; maca; blue-green algae; cordyceps; cacao nibs and cacao powder; bee pollen; camu camu; frozen berries (raspberries, bluberries, cherries, etc), vanilla powder, mesquite, oh the list just goes on and on.
- I will have some future posts with my top Superfood Smoothie Recipes as they change all the time with my bodies current needs and my exercise routine! Remember to ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! It will tell you want it needs if we just slow down and listen
- I have three “green” smoothie recipes that I use regularly as well. I like to drink these throughout the day and even when I get home late at night for a quick and delicious snack.
- The below recipes are best with 2 cups of fresh spring water (raw if you have access to it) or fresh coconut water if you like them a little sweeter! Again lots more “Green Smoothie” recipes to come! Because we all know I love my Greens!!
- Swiss chard, mint and pear
- Spinach and peaches
- Strawberries, romaine and banana.
Cheers and have the most glorious day ever!!

Hi Tamara!
I am glad I stumbled upon your site—impressive credentials too.
I like to use a lot of Kale in my smoothies, what are your thoughts on that?
I love your site’s name too, very “catchy”
