Why Raw?

Raw, unaltered, unprocessed, UNCOOKED organic food is how nature intended it. Not only are raw and living foods abundant in beneficial enzymes aiding in the digestion and absorption of our foods vitamins and minerals, but they are the whole food, nutrient dense sources of energy our bodies need to obtain abundant “life force.”

“Life force” is what provides us with the vibrance, energy and anti-aging agents our bodies need to reach optimal health and wellness. Live foods charge our cells which are the “batteries” our bodies run on.

Cooked food is depleted of 70-80% of its vitamins and minerals, 50% of its protein and almost 100% of its phytonutrients. Also, did you know that organic foods contain twice the nutrients of non-organic?

Raw and living foods are not only great for health and longevity, they are friendly to the environment and taste fabulous as well! Doesn’t the idea of giving your body what it needs for inner and outer beauty, combined with an eco-friendly way of living and igniting and awakening your taste buds sound appealing? Whether it is for beauty, health, longevity, the planet or a down right love of food and flavor raw and living foods will satisfy them all!

For Breakfast

They were not kidding when they said breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your day off right and everything else will fall into place! My days start with making two smoothies; one “green” smoothie and one “superfood” smoothie. My superfood smoothie is one of my staples. It’s packed with well-balanced nutrients, antioxidants, energy and is perfect for pre and/or post workouts. I normally have this first between 8-10AM.

  • I like to mix any and all of the following in my Superfood Smoothies: Fresh thai coconut water and coconut meat; homemade hemp milk, almond milk or pumpkin milk; revitaphi; maca; blue-green algae; cordyceps; cacao nibs and cacao powder; bee pollen; camu camu; frozen berries (raspberries, bluberries, cherries, etc) and 1/2 a banana.

I have three “green” smoothie recipes that I use regularly. I like to drink these throughout the day and even when I get home late at night for a quick and delicious snack.

  • Swiss chard, mint and pear
  • Spinach and peaches
  • Strawberries, romaine and banana.

On the Go!

My “go to” lunch is the “Special Green Juice” and a custom salad with spicy greens, guacamole, tomatoes, cucumber, hearts of palm, olives and lemon herb dressing. I personally like to add two heaping tablespoons of spirulina (an awesome source of protein) to my salad everyday as well. The vegan roasted red pepper soup is the best and my other favorites include the green smoothie, the cacao raz smoothie, the raw choco/vanilla macaroons, the raw/vegan hazelnut tart and all of the raw/vegan items on the market table, in particular the coconut dumplings and the raw vegan flaxseed-herb crust pizza).
